Verdict
A large field goes to post for this maiden and as usual in these types of events the market will be all important but the principals look to be Eyes Only, Wait For Spring and Residential and the vote goes to Eyes Only. The selection is a half sister to the top class performer Commander In Chief, and she is sure to know her job and she will not need to be anything special to win this on her debut. Wait For Spring rates the main danger as at least she has experience and a reproduction of her latest second behind Michabo would give her definite place claims. Residential is another worthy of respect as he is from a yard that is beginning to hit top form and he is sure to strip fitter here than he did for his debut effort this season which saw him finish fourth behind Desert Cristal. ] High Reserve is another that showed some ability last season but she may just need this after a 320 day absence and she is also bred to be seen to better effect over a longer trip. Of the remainder Corbel is from a shrewd yard and is another to note in the market but for the winner we return to Eyes Only.
