In depth
Verdict
A poor race but it represents a golden opportunity for Platinum Charmer who is the TEAMtalk selection to open his account. Kevin Ryan's charge has shown enough in similar company including when placed on the all-weather to suggest that a race of this nature is within his compass and sets a fair standard for the less exposed types in the line up. Ian Balding has few winners on the all-weather but saddles the interesting newcomer High Bounce who could easily prove good enough so is worth watching in the market. Luxi River has shown plenty of ability in turf maidens and could pose a threat if handling this surface but Magenta Rising needs to step up on her disappointing debut effort to figure.
