Verdict
A tricky start for punters. The weights are headed by Tribal King. A talented performer, he has had many woes in his career and reportedly breaks blood vessels. Henrietta Knight is sending out winners but one is taking a chance if backing him today. Mary Reveley sends out course and distance winner, Hallyards Gael. He was campaigned against the top Northern novices last season and has been put up 6lb for his last win. He will need a career best to win this but the trainer was in great form at the track on Friday. Yankee Jamie was a multiple winner over hurdles although officially he was only rated at 83 when last scoring. Monkey Island beat the progressive Minster York at Hexham last time out. He jumps soundly and if fit, he has to be in the shake-up. Red Hot Indian is racefit but his recent efforts have been modest. The TEAMtalk vote goes to Trusting Tom. He reportedly suffered breathing problems earlier in his career but the in-form Chris Bealby looks to have found the key to him. After a wide margin win at Market Rasen, he is fancied to follow up if he can handle the drop in trip.
