Verdict
Winthorpe, Mystic Man and Local Poet are three against the field in another tight handicap and the vote is given to Winthorpe. The selection won well last time out when beating Alexia Rose and although he has a penalty for that win he has won off a higher mark in the past and with his confidence sure to be sky high he is taken to defy the handicapper. Mystic Man has been in good form of late in claimers but this looks more competitive and he looks to high in the weights to win. Local Poet won well on his first run of the season but has since been beaten off this mark and again he looks vulnerable. Lincolneurocruiser is game and consistent and is sure to run his race but he is best when allowed to dominate and that does not look likely here so he looks worth taking on. Of the remainder Connotation is from a yard in form and is worth a look in the market but for the winner we return to Winthorpe.
