        Verdict

        A large field go to post for the finale but on closer inspection not many can be give a serious chance of winning and the principals look to be Favorisio, Hefin and Saintly Thoughts and the selection is Favorisio. The gelding was a good third in a claimer last time out behind Inver Gold and a reproduction of that effort would make him hard to beat off what looks a fair mark. Hefin rates the main danger he was a good third behind One Off last time and that rival has since franked the form so he will go close off the same mark here. Saintly Thoughts won well after an absence last time out but he may struggle under a penalty. Of the remainder Special Branch has dropped to a handy mark but we are happy to stick with Favorisio.
