        Verdict

        Miss George can beat Camp Commander here, with Grand But One and Strong Hand others in with a squeak. The latter in fact was successful twice in succession here last November, but that was when it was still a fibresand surface and it remains to be seen how he will adapt to the new Polytrack. His recent Turf efforts have been encouraging though, and any money in the ring should be noted. Grand But One won twice on Turf in the summer including in claiming company at Pontefract last month. He lines up on a two-pound lower mark for his all-weather debut and looks just the sort to follow this winter. Camp Commander would eat these for breakfast on last season's form, but the former Victoria Cup winner is on the downgrade and left Clive Brittain after landing a claimer here in October. He may be best watched on his debut for his new yard. For the winner we look to Miss George who caused a bit of a shock when coming out on top in a blanket finish to a Listed race at Lingfield eight days ago. She had rivals rated in the 90's behind her, and if that was no fluke, then she must go close to defying a six-pound penalty under Dane O'Neill who gave her a great ride last time. He brought her with a strong run from just off the pace and as those tactics normally work well at this venue, she is taken to repeat the feat.
