    Verdict

Paddywack holds his form well and can gain a deserved victory here from Mynd and Desert Opal. David Chapman's veteran has been rejuvenated this season winning three times at Beverley and putting in some sound efforts in defeat. His most recent effort was a three length sixth behind the well treated Special Gold in what looked a stronger contest than this at Newcastle. A repeat of that effort could be good enough to take first prize here. Mynd returned to winning ways at Chepstow last time and is a previous course and distance winner. He does look a little high in the weighhts but could still be capable of making the frame. Desert Opal has struggled on his last two runs here but has claims on the pick of this season's efforts. Peruvian Style looks the pick of the Milton Bradley pair, but for the winner we return to Paddywack.
