This is an interesting contest and from a shortlist of Weecandoo, Master Theo, Danelor, Scottish River and Libre, we will opt for Master Theo. Weecandoo is now four pounds better off for the two-and-a-half lengths she finished behind Master Theo over course and distance on December 15, although the winner is possibly the more progressive. Further relevant form factors are that Danelor was four-and-a-half lengths behind Weecandoo over course and distance in December, with the running on Scottish River a further length-and-a-half behind him. They are both nine pounds better off with the winner today. Danelor was making his Wolverhampton debut there, while Scottish River is well weighted on the best of his Turf winning form, so afford those two some respect. Libre comes here in good form, having won three of his last four races, and has to be considered, although he got the run of things last time, while Cordial has to be given the once over as he is lightly raced and from the Sir Mark Prescott stable, although we reckon he needs to improve if he is to feature today. Of the others, Tight Squeeze is a multiple winner but has an absence to overcome, Arry Dash has won from a marginally higher mark on Turf but has never raced here, and Karaoke has been raised three pounds for his Lingfield win last time so at least comes here in good heart. Overall, though, the vote remains with Master Theo.
