        Verdict

        Acomb is a speculative selection in a wide open affair, Lakota Brave and Cherished Number are just two of many dangers. Noel Wilson's charge landed a couple of races on the turf during the summer and paid the penalty by shooting up the ratings. Following some poor efforts he has now dropped down to a decent mark. He showed his time wasn't far away when a very promising sixth behind Night Air in a better race than this last time and he could be the one to be on here. Lakota Brave is a consistent sort and put up another sound display last time when finishing a close up third behind Book Matched at Southwell, he should go well despite top-weight. Cherished Number arrives here in good heart following a recent success over course and distance and should be there or thereabouts again. Bridgewater Boys looked on the way back last time and could also be involved in the finish here, nut Acomb could go well at a decent price and just gets the verdict
