In depth
Verdict
SILVER GUEST has reasonable claims of landing his second course victory in the space of a week with Witchry, Maison Dieu and Yanza amongst the dangers. Last week's win came over seven furlongs and there is a real concern regarding the drop back to this trip but it looks worth taking a chance. That success took Silver Guest's all-weather tally to two wins from just three starts and he has come a long way down the weights having struggled to recapture his form after an injury. Witchry's one placed run in eight all-weather starts came at this venue and he's well enough handicapped to believe that he can play a part whilst his stable sent out a winner in the week. Maison Dieu is another with each-way claims as he comes here in decent heart and has a good record of finishing in the money around these turns. Yanza shaped with more promise in a seller at the end of last month and could figure if the headgear brings about a little improvement. This trip may just stretch Rainy Night, Boho Chic has to prove that she can handle this surface whilst Titus Gent's recent win came in a seller. Silver Guest was a cut above that level in his prime and may still be.
