Verdict
Madge has improved with each run and should open her account here at the expense of Sinnomore, Showtime Faye, and Royal Master, with newcomer Saltburn Lad worth a mention. Madge was switched to the all-weather straight after making her debut at Redcar in October, and has shown enough to warrant support here. John Gosden's only runner here today has quickly adapted to the Polytrack it would seem, and the daughter of Marju will take the beating before going into nursery company. The well-bred Sinnomore was sent off as favourite on his debut here a fortnight ago, but was tapped for toe when the pace quickened. He will have learnt a lot from that though and can be in the shake-up this time. Showtime Faye showed her first bit of form three days ago, but that was in selling company, while Royal Master missed the break on his British debut and is another that will be at home over this trip. Saltburn Lad is very well-bred and should make his mark over middle-distances in time. It is not certain whether Madonna will be lumping on, but we suggest that you have a bit on Madge here.
