    Verdict

West country trainer Bill Turner usually gets going with his string at this time of year and he can strike another early blow with Dusty Dane, who edges preference from Llamadas; the biggest danger judged on recent form. Seattle Robber also comes into the argument after a decent effort over seven furlongs earlier in the month. However, he does have a tendency to hang in the closing stages and has a few question marks hanging over his resolve in a finish. The flip-side of his profile is that he has no problems regarding today's trip and, with Neil Callan doing the steering, he will get plenty of a assistance from the saddle. Llamadas can race handily but he will be better suited by a more patient ride over this trip. He has a very capable 3lb claimer in the plate and he will be very hard to overhaul. However, he is running out of friends after finishing second in each of his last three starts and, as he tries this trip for only the second time, he now has a little too much to prove to receive the nomination. Therefore, it can pay to side with Dusty Dane, who will strip a lot fitter after his run at Lingfield last week. That was his first start since last September and reads respectably enough as it was his first try on an all weather surface. Today's trip is more in keeping with what he had shown previously and, bearing in mind Turner's consistency in the early months of the year, Dusty Dane is the first one for us to look for in the betting.
