Verdict

CAPE CRYSTAL opened her account over course and distance during the week. She won by over three lengths so a penalty may not be enough to anchor her in this, though Anneani also makes a quick reappearance having gone close off today’s mark at Leicester three days ago - she won over a shorter trip here last month. Both Gold Return and Ahraam finished second at this track and Brighton respectively on their latest starts but Castle Talbot and Filament Of Gold have struggled off higher marks since winning in June.
