Verdict
Dagola can add to his recent course and distance victory in what is a poor race, with Eastern Hope, J R Stevenson and Adalar out to stop him. Dagola showed a good turn of foot when scoring in handicap company for Clive Cox at Nottingham in April, so it is disappointing that he failed to progress as hoped. However, the drop to selling company here three weeks ago worked the oracle, but in controversial circumstances, as the rider of Anduril took things far too easy, allowing Dagola, sent off as favourite, to collar him close home. Chris Dwyer's charge is out to prove that that was no lucky victory, and although this is a wee bit harder, he should again swoop late to score. Kieren Fallon has been booked to ride J R Stevenson who had Eastern Hope back in seventh when winning a similar event under the ex-champ at Yarmouth in November. He did not make too much of an impression here a fortnight ago though and is hardly one to rely on today. Tyneham and stablemates Risk Free and Adalar all look held by the selection on latest evidence, and it is hard to ignore the claims of Dagola who has a good draw as well in stall two
