Verdict
Ryedane can defy topweight against Blades Boy, Ashes and Athboy Nights to name but three. A competitive nursery sees Ryedane out to try and land a hat-trick after back-to-back successes here this month. After just lasting home over six furlongs on the first occasion, Tim Easterby wisely put the son of Danetime back to the minimum last Tuesday and he clearly looked more comfortable in dishing out a length-and-a-half beating to Turn On The Style. That was under a four-pound penalty and another rise here is unlikely to stop him from making a bold bid to follow up. The latter was allowed an easy lad that day until being collared and despite a slight turnaround in the weights, should not be good enough. Athboy Nights should get closer to the selection on six-pound better terms but that should not be enough for her to turn the tables. However, Fallon has a good record for the Mark Wallace stable so she can be placed at least. There are one or two others worth a mention including Ashes who battled hard to win a maiden here last week, and Blades Boy who gained his second career victory when landing a nursery at Southwell. He will find this harder though on the faster Polytrack and should not beat the selection Ryedane who sets the standard
