      Verdict

BLACK SALT is penalised for last week's convincing victory at Southwell. He's never run here but hasn't had a lot of racing and should be capable of more progress so gets the vote. Spenny's Lass went up 7lb for winning here in September and hasn't quite been able to cope with the extra but Burtonwood, a winner over the minimum at Newcastle last month, is always capable of popping up at this level though has never won around here. Kingsley Klarion is on a long losing run but is now on his lowest ever mark on his 36th start and ran his best race for a long time at Kempton last month so looks the main threat.
