In depth

Verdict

Plenty of these are course and distance winners including Bamako Du Chatelet, who has won six times on artificial surfaces. His last two victories have been over further but a strong gallop will play to his strengths. CALVINIST has found his form on this track in recent weeks and was in the lead at this trip when tackling 1m6f three weeks ago. He can take this as Sauchiehall Street went up 8lb for his Newcastle victory and has been unable to cope and Mr Carbonator is better handicapped on Turf. Iley Boy won here in December and has scored three times at Kempton subsequently though a 6lb penalty makes this more difficult. The lightly-raced Home Before Dusk couldn't handle Fibresand last time but his form in the summer entitles him to respect.
