Verdict

Another open-looking heat where RUWAIN is the suggestion to outpoint Nassar and Giddywell can go well at a price. The selection has won twice on the Great Leighs Polytrack, both over a similar trip to this, and he represents a yard going well. Of some concern is the fact that his three runs here have all proved abortive, but he is given one more chance over this slightly longer trip than he has tried here before, given that he can dictate from an inside draw. Nassar has won just once from 17 attempts, also at Great Leighs. A 1lb drop for his latest run won't make this much easier than of late and we will oppose him until he slips further in the handicap. The same applies to Giddywell, who is slipping down the ratings, but needs a further drop to get this judge to part with any cash. Harting Hill must surely be capable of more than he has shown thus far but perhaps that will come when Marcus Tregoning's string hits better form in general, while Hunt The Bottle has his easiest task for some time and a better effort is not ruled out. Ruwain gets the nod as the curtain falls on Wolverhampton.
