Verdict

Armagnac left previous form behind when only finding one too good in a nursery here in November. His stable is in good form so he’s expected to go well on his reappearance but WILLIAM SAYLE (NAP) has more scope. John Gosden’s colt is a half-brother to a couple of middle-distance winners but he’s by Bahamian Bounty so should have the speed for this trip and he was slowly away and then keen on his debut at Kempton last month, though only beaten three lengths. Golden Wolf showed definite promise at Kempton last year but Major Cornwallis has had his chances and is proving difficult to place.
