Verdict
A hike in the weights proved beyond Crossing The Bar at Newmarket having earlier won at Carlisle while Arabian Warrior has been off the track since clipping heels and falling here back in November. Winklevi is upped in trip after winning over 1m4f at Chepstow and the veteran Fire Fighting has only raced over today’s distance once in the past. MIDRARR has slipped down the weights this year and took advantage when scoring easily over track and trip. There should be more to come over today’s distance and an apprentice’s allowance negates a 5lb rise.
