        Verdict

        Ghostly bids for a hat-trick of course wins having beaten Irish Eileen in an amateurs’ race over track and trip, though the latter re-opposes on better terms. SEND IN THE CLOWNS (NAP) was only beaten a short-head here, despite failing to get a clear run in the closing stages, and Tony Carroll’s charge is taken to go one better. Tyche finished a close-up fourth at Beverley recently while Four Feet is edging closer to losing his maiden tag after placing at Chepstow.
