Verdict
This looks a competitive sprint handicap but it will be a surprise if ACCLAIM THE NATION (NAP) isn’t in the firing-line. A winner over track and trip back in January, Eric Alston’s gelding has been knocking on the door off higher marks on Turf this summer and deserves a change of luck. Secretfact also goes well here and ran his best race of the season when successful at Bath earlier this month but You're Cool needs to bounce back from a below-par run at Chelmsford, though has been dropped a couple of pounds. King Robert is capable if in the mood but Merry Banter may be a few pounds too high after winning at Epsom two runs ago. A Sure Welcome is another who looks in the handicapper’s grip.
