Verdict
This event certainly lacks quality and so the top-weight Flake gets a narrow vote here ahead of Cociembe and Manoram. Sue Smith's gelding was in good form over hurdles at the start of the year and came back from a long break when well beaten last time. He wasn't the most consistent performer over fences last year but still boasts the strongest form. David Pipe's Cociembe took on some decent enough types in Ireland and looks to have been found a soft introduction to chasing in this country. Meanwhile Manoram has gone well on track in the past and does look on a very lenient mark following some poor efforts. Sharaab is consistent enough at this sort of level and looks the pick of the others, but in a very modest affair Flake may just prevail.
