In depth

Verdict

The experienced horses here look nothing special and so it could rest between the newcomers Glen Rouge, Methyrmawr and Shiwawa and we will side with the last named. Alan Swinbank has his string in fine fettle and this son of Halling certainly looks the part on paper. His dam is an unraced sister to Rainbow Quest and so there is plenty of stamina in the pedigree and we expecte a bold showing. Nicky Richards trains Glen Rouge and although nothing special on breeding he will no doubt know his job and should be watched closely in the betting. Evan Williams sends out Merthyrmawr and like the other two has plenty of staying power in his pedigree. The pick of the others could be Sue Smith's City Music, but unless the market says otherwise, Shiwawa looks the one to be on.
