Verdict

Although it is very tricky to compare the German form with that over here it is a fair assumption that Christian Von der Recke's raider Wildbach will be tuned up for this and he can probably take it, with Kingoftheswingers and Pips Assertive Way others to consider. The selection was second in a swimming chase in his homeland last time out but he is not wet behind the ears having had 29 starts, mainly on the level. Good ground and this trip look ideal and we'll take him to score. Pips Assertive Way took a similar race to this at Stratford last time and pops up now and again. Tony Carroll has a good strike rate in this sphere, so his charge is respected. Kingoftheswingers is a moderate sort who has frame claims if performing to his best. Are You There won a similar race here last year on good to soft but she does act on a sound surface and is not without a chance, and the same can be said of Mycenian Cookie. Even so, Wildbach can land a race that won't take much winning.
