In depth

Verdict

It took Chepstow scorer Islandmagee nine attempts to get off the mark over fences so he may not have much scope for further improvement and his young rider is having only his second ride over fences. PURE POTEEN was tailed off on his only previous try over fences but has won a point-to-point and was successful over hurdles on his latest start in May. McCoy could have been claimed for Vujiyama so that's a tip in itself. Lady Charisma could go close if taking to the larger obstacles while recent rain may have boosted the chances of four-year-old Alanjou.
