In depth
Verdict
The first leg of the bumper can go to Jacob Ruisdael, with Nelson's Spice, Waldo's Dream and Supreme Huntress the other major players. Nicky Henderson has a good strike-rate with his bumper debutantes, and that augurs well for the chance of Jacob Ruisdael who is by Supreme Leader and is a half-brother to Jolly Side who took a bumper before making a name for himself as a chaser. Nelson's Spice is a little less obvious to work out but we know that Jonjo O'Neill has plenty of decent bumper inmates, as does Paul Nicholls who unleashes Supreme Huntress, like the selection another product of Supreme Leader. Waldo's Dream made his debut here last October and shaped well enough for the experience not to be lost, so has to be considered as well, but we return to Jacob Ruisdael as the answer.
