      Verdict

      Kentmere, Argent Ou Or and Alekhine look the three to concentrate on in this competitive opener and the tentative vote is given to Kentmere. The selection won well last time out when beating Absolut Power. That form has since been franked and despite his penalty he will be hard to beat under conditions that suit. Argent Ou Or rates the main danger on his latest second behind Darrias he is sure to have learnt from the experience and should be watched closely in the market. Alekhine is another worthy of respect as he is a seven furlong winner on the flat and if he sees out this longer trip he would be a danger to all but he would not want any rain. Of the remainder Rajayoga was a fair third behind Mr Mischief last time and is another with place claims but he has given the impression he would be suited by a longer trip and for the winner we return to Kentmere.
