In depth

Verdict

A wide open bumper completes the card and we like the look of Keswick, with Mapuche, and I'm Lovin It also expected to run well. The selection is trained by Nicky Henderson who is a dab hand at landing this type of event. He is a son of Taipan that cost 44 thousand euros as a four-year-old, and no doubt he will know his job first time out. Mapuche is another interesting beginner, trained by Abndrew Balding. He is by Selkirk and is related to some very good flat horses including Hidden Meadow. The other first timer we like is the Paul Nichols trained I'm Loving It, a Supreme Leader gelding, who like the selection, should be fit and ready. The best of the experienced runners should be Coral's Laurel, but on this occasion we will take a chance with a debutante and that is Keswick.
