Towcester winner La Marette seemed not to stay 2m4f at Stratford last time and, in a weak race like this where the main opposition comes from the likes of Coolers Quest and Katy The Duck, may be worth another chance back at today's trip. The selection had been running some decent races in defeat and was hardly winning out of turn when landing a selling handicap at Towcester in February. The longer trip, and stronger opposition, found out John Allen's mare on her next start at Stratford but this looks an altogether easier assignment and she is fancied to resume winning ways. Coolers Quest reverts to hurdling after a couple of outings over fences and may do better now that she drops to this class. She makes more appeal than Katy The Duck, who has slipped to fair mark but has given little sign of encouragement. The remaining quartet make very little appeal, with Oriental Moon probably the best of them. It is difficult to look past La Marette though and she gets the vote.
