In depth
Verdict
Elsinora, Molinia and Yashin are the three against the field here, with the latter possibly just having the edge. The Mark Tompkins trained gelding drops into selling company for the first time, and if you ignore his most recent effort, he can be given every chance on previous runs. The best of which this season was at Epsom when chasing home Pickle in a class D handicap, if running up to that form again he will be difficult to beat. Molinia ran well over course and distance last time in a much better race and should be bang there again. Meanwhile Elsinora is from a very shrewd yard and has been knocking on the door in similar company all season. It is not a race to get too involved in financially, but Yashin looks slightly better than selling class and is given the nod.
