Verdict
Aviation probably sets the standard among those to have raced previously but there are some interesting newcomers in the line up with Villarrica just preferred to Astronomical. Sir Michael Stoute trains the selection and the daughter of Selkirk makes plenty of appeal on pedigree coming from the same family as Galileo, Urban Ocean and Black Sam Bellamy. Admittedly she is likely to do better over middle distances next term but may have too much class for her rivals. The Barry Hills-trained Astronomical is a half-brother to useful stayer Astrocharm and has to be respected with the stable back in form. Amanda Perrett's newcomers tend to need their first start so Mel's Moment is probably best watched and of more interest may be Andrew Balding's Samson Quest, who showed signs of ability on his Lingfield debut. Richard Hannon's Aviation has not progressed as much as anticipated and this may be best left to Villarrica.
