In depth
Verdict
Tiger Tiger landed a rare old touch last time and should go close here along with the once raced Focus Group, but for the winner we turn to Wiggy Smith. Henry Candy has always held this colt in high regard, because of his quirkiness, as well as his talent, of which he has plenty of, as he proved last time when scoring well in a handicap at Epsom. He is well in on official ratings today and will take all the beating. Focus Group could be anything. Henry Cecil's filly landed a Redcar maiden back in September in good style, and the form has been boosted by the second since. As it was her only outing to date she is open to any amount of improvement and could be the main threat to the selection. Tiger Tiger bounced back to winning form with an emphatic victory in a decent handicap last time, landing some nice bets in the process, a similar run today should be good enough for a place at least. Ultimata got back in the winning habit last time and is also worthy of respect, but Wiggy Smith is in the form of his life and is a confident selection.
