    Verdict

Wester Lodge looks the pick of the experienced runners here, but we think this may involve the debutantes Arturius, Fallujah and Vip and we will give the vote the the last named. Everything has already been said about the Godolphin juveniles, and with recent acquisitions included they will have a very strong bunch of three-year-olds next season. Vip is another that may be a bit special, he is by Dubai Millennium out of a Danehill mare, and on that pedigree alone, he rates an excellent prospect. Michael Stoute and Godolphin have crossed swords in many juvenile races this season, with the boys in blue winning most of the battles, and although Stoute's Arturius is superbly bred by Anabaa out of a Selkirk mare, it could be the same scenario again. Dr Fong filly Fallujah must also be given a cautious look in the market as she is sent down from Mark Johnston's Yorkshire yard. If the newcomers are nothing special, Wester Lodge, second at Newcastle last time, would be the one to benefit, but Vip, related to so many Godolphin winners, looks the best option.
