This should not take a great deal of winning pitching together some largely out of sorts runners the one exception being Miss Champagne, who is preferred to Bold Tiger and Musicmaestroplease. The last mentioned is less exposed than most and has been given a chance by the handicapper having been dropped 3lbs since her most recent start at Wolverhampton. Simplified looks a shade high in the weights judged by his handicap debut run at Lingfield last week, while Red Vixen has given little sign of encouragement of late. Clive Brittain's Almowj has disappointed of late and may be better than those runs would suggest but can hardly be backed with any confidence. Mine The Balance has had plenty of chances and remains a maiden so looks worth taking on and of more interest may be the David Nicholls-trained Bold Tiger, who has dropped to a fair mark. The vote though goes to Mick Quinn's Miss Champagne, who comes into this on the back of a win at Lingfield last time for which she has not been punished too harshly by the handicapper and she is taken to follow up.
