Verdict

David O’Meara is mob-handed with five runners though Danny Tudhope rides Firmament despite having partnered Waarif to victory at Ayr last time. Both are preferred to stablemates Young Fire, Hortzadar and Humbert but it could pay to stick with ALEMARATALYOUM. The latter scored by four lengths at Goodwood last month and Marco Ghiani’s allowance negates a big chunk of a 7lb rise. Mikmak has looked high enough in the weights since winning at Haydock in August while this is much tougher than the amateurs’ race King's Pavilion won at Ascot a week ago but Major Partnership should do better back over today’s longer trip.
