Mull of Dubai won this event 12 months ago off a 4lb higher mark than he races off today and he has to be respected but he came from stall four last year and, like a lot of the runners coming into the race this year in good form, including the likely favourite Spirit Is Needed, he is not so well drawn today so it may be worth siding with TRIP THE LIGHT. Richard Fahey's gelding dropped into a claimer to resume winning ways over course and distance last time but he won that race last month in good fashion and may now be ready for the return to a handicap off what seems a fair mark. Bow To No One is 2lbs lower than when a close second over two miles at Ascot last time and has to be considered but he is badly drawn in stall 15, while Tim Easterby's Crackentorp has solid claims on form but again has a difficult outside draw to overcome. Gerard Butler's Just Like Silk is now 8lbs higher than when scoring at Newbury last time, while Siberian Tiger would have every chance if able to reproduce recent hurdles form back on the level. He is well drawn, something that Spirit Is Needed, for who Nina Carberry has been booked, is not and with a good draw it may be worth siding with Trip The Light.
