In depth
Verdict
Not a race for the faint hearted as punters are faced with a trappy contest. However, in a field of this size, the draw should play a role and those drawn high are likely to be at a serious disadvantage. With this in mind, fancied runners such as the prolific Bond Diamond, last week's Newcastle winner Ruby Legend as well as recent Musselburgh scorer Rose Of America appear to be facing a stiff task on the wide outside. Cryfield has won his last two and should go well over a trip that should suit ideally while Blue Star has been knocking on the door and is another to consider but Satyr may find this an inadequate test so the TEAMtalk vote goes to Must Be Magic. The five-year-old comes here in top form having stayed on well to land a one-mile handicap at Kempton last month yet remains on a fair mark and, with conditions in his favour, he should give another good account for each way backers.
