Verdict

Inevitably a highly competitive affair in which Aidan O'Brien raids with COULD IT BE LOVE. The War Front filly tackles this trip for the first time this term and a prominent showing is anticipated as she's clear on official ratings based on her runner-up effort in the Irish 1000 Guineas and third place finish in the Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot. Her performance in the latter contest and a recent second in Group company in her homeland suggest this trip may suit ideally. Pretty Baby is a fascinating contender as she's unbeaten apart from when runner-up on debut and the style of her two successes this term have been achieved in some style. She's dangerous and this should tell us how good she is. Classical Times and Pepita make most appeal of the older brigade, whilst Maggies Angel ties in closely with the latter and is of interest along with Main Desire who disappointed at the Royal meeting when losing an unbeaten record.
