    Verdict

Nurseries are notoriously difficult to unravel at this early stage of their season but OBERYN MARTELL has looked a stylish juvenile the last twice and is the selection despite having to concede his nearest rival 8lb and a stone and a half to those at the foot of the weights. His Sandown and Salisbury successes were achieved in a manner suggesting he would not be out of place in Listed company. Kodyanna looked to be going the right way before coming home in mid-division at Royal Ascot and should be far more at home returned to this level. She looks the main danger in receipt of 10lb from the topweight. Big Ace had been improving steadily until never getting competitive in a good conditions race last time and is another likely to benefit from the return to more shallow waters.
