Verdict

CITRON MAJOR didn't get anything like the run of the race in a typical large-field sprint here last time but still wasn't beaten too far in a mid-division finish. He previously impressed when scoring at Ripon under Lewis Edmunds and appeals as one on the upgrade. The move up to a seventh furlong is a slight worry but we'll stay with him and hope he can repel the in-form Byron's Choice who has no such stamina issues, arrives in good form on the back of two successes and remains on a fair mark. He is a big threat. Red Cymbal may have needed the comeback run and may improve, whilst the Fahey team is well represented via Inviolable Spirit and International Man.
