Verdict
A wide-open finale but Tim Easterby saddles a couple of interesting runners. Something was clearly amiss with Intello Boy on his final start last year at Ayr but Eclipse De Lunar may also be on a decent mark. The latter beat a decent field in a novice stakes at Ayr in September and didn’t get the run of the race in a Class 2 here subsequently. Mark Johnston has three entries with Fairmac the most stoutly bred but also the most exposed. Kondom Imasi lacks a recent run but Happy was probably a bit unlucky over 1m2f at Beverley, though the winner has let the form down since. Farhan is due to go up 4lb next week after a close second at Salisbury so must have every chance and he’s bred for this trip but a similar comment applies to DOCTOR PARNASSUS. Danny Tudhope’s mount gave backers of the long odds-on Noman an almighty fright at Ayr and this progressive maiden will relish the extra quarter-mile. Currency Exchange and Irish import Tashkhan are also worth a second look.
