    Verdict

Historic ran well in what looked a hot maiden at Yarmouth on his introduction. He had a length-and-a-half to spare over St Ives, though the latter is another likely improver. International Lion showed plenty of promise over track and trip last month and is the choice of Paul Hanagan ahead of the filly Sun Crystal. Oso Rapido has already placed at Ripon and Thirsk and should continue heading in the right direction but Kevin Ryan’s juveniles are always worth a second look here and BLACK CASPIAN is no exception. A half-brother to four winners, he was a 200,000gns yearling and is likely to know is job.
