Verdict
A small but very select field for this juvenile fillies race, and Flashy Wings is taken to maintain her unbeaten record, with La Chunga and Beauty Bright likely to give her most to do. The latter hails from Aidan O'Brien's Ballydoyle base which seems to hold a particularly strong hand in the two-year-old races this year. It is hard to assess the merit of her maiden win at Cork, and while this will certainly be far harder, the Coolmore team must hold her in high regard and she must be respected. La Chunga created a very favourable impression when scooting clear in the Albany Stakes at the Royal meeting here, but was unable to defy a penalty on her only subsequent start at Newbury. She ought to be a big threat, but we cannot oppose Flashy Wings. She made it three wins out of three when slamming La Chunga's stablemate, Salut D'Amour, by three lengths in the Queen Mary and a reproduction of that form will make her extremely hard to beat here. Dixie Belle has decent winning form to her name, but Flashy Wings has been compared favourably by Mick Channon to the likes of Bint Allayl and Queen's Logic, and we will stick with her here.
