Verdict
The progressive Appeared was having his first start over this trip when landing a Class 4 handicap at the Dante Meeting but has an 8lb rise to contend with in this higher grade. WALPOLE (NAP) won a Huntingdon bumper on his racecourse debut and has subsequently scored when well supported at Wolverhampton and Windsor. This is a step-up in class but he's still been showing signs of inexperience so should be capable of much better. Burano is a very rare performer over this trip but wasn't stopping when runner-up over 1m2f at Chester last time. Salmon Sushi is another who normally races over shorter and his only victory to date came on Polytrack. Shrewd has been in tremendous form over hurdles and managed to win a handicap at Wolverhampton in March though this is tougher.
