Verdict

MASHAM STAR came here last week and very nearly made all, just finding the more experienced Admiralty Arch too strong in the closing stages. He should have come on for the run and can go one better. Hugo Palmer saddled the third in that race so should have some idea how he stands with the runner-up so his Aventinus, who is very speedily-bred, is definitely one to keep an eye on. Maazel is by the very speedy Elzaam out of a fast mare so he should have pace to burn while Richard Fahey's pair Party Tiger and Megan Lily are worth noting, especially the latter, who is a half-sister to six winners.
