Verdict
The ease in grade for Trew Class can help her back on track and the Mark Tompkins-trained filly gets a confident vote in this company. Rainbow Sky and Strong Hand are holding their form at present and can make this a good test for the selection, while Opening Ceremony has solid claims on the best of her efforts and should be capable of a bold show if she is in the mood. However, she does have a little to find on the balance of form and cannot be recommended as a solid win only option. Strong Hand has enjoyed a rewarding campaign and is in the form of her life at present. Still, her last couple of starts have thrown open a few cracks and she also has more on her plate in taking on the selection today. Rainbow Sky has scope for improvement and is definitely going the right way. She comfortably got off the mark at Haydock earlier in the month and is well treated for her handicap debut. This is much tougher and she more to find here. However, Trew Class was far from disgraced in a Listed race at Newcastle when she last raced and, with her previous form this season looking most progressive, she is the logical choice in the opener and has enough class to cope with top weight.
