    Verdict

Although La Cucaracha faces no easy task at the weights, she is a classy individual that goes well at this course and she is fancied to have cope with the challenges presented by Visionist, Beckermet and Danzili Bay. There may also be a little more to come from Mutawaffer, who drops back to six furlongs after running out of steam in the Bunbury Cup at the start of this month. The son of Marju recorded a fair effort over this course and distance behind Soldier's Tale in May and he would be a potent force if he dishes out a repeat does today. Danzili Bay steps up in grade after landing a three-year-olds' handicap at Haydock last time out. He has more to do this time, but is entitled to take his chance. Beckermet is thriving on his racing at present and cannot be ruled out of at least making the frame. Still, he has a habit of throwing in a stinker and, as he had a hard race last weekend, this may come around a touch too quickly for him. Visionist is an unexposed type that comes here as an unknown quantity at this level. His juvenile for was solid enough to give him claims if he copes with the hustle and bustle of the Knavesmire. However, La Cucaracha has already acquitted herself admirably at this course and she is fancied to relish taking on this easier company and brush them all aside.
