Verdict

Seamus Durack will be delighted to see Jamie Spencer on board Alfredo, 5-7 on the all-weather but very inconsistent on Turf. He was a long way behind Aircraft Carrier at Wolverhampton and may be too high in the ratings now. The latter is also better on artificial surfaces and BILLY RAY's close second to Withhold in a Class 2 handicap over this trip at Newbury last month is the stand-out recent form - Danny Tudhope can steer him home. Blue Laureate stepped up to this trip for the first time over the track and trip last time and ran very well and his young rider's claim is a plus and any rain would put Lorelina in the picture, though she has never been this far. Eddystone Rock is only 2lb higher than when scoring at Chester though is another unproven over the distance.
