Verdict

Jamie Spencer has picked up some good rides today and was on board when VICTORY DAY failed by a head to reel in Recon Mission in a lucrative handicap at York. There was some give in the ground that day as there was when he won easily at Ripon so some rain would be in his favour. Pass The Vino has Hayley Turner doing the steering and her mount won a Class 2 handicap at Newmarket, when Jack's Point was six lengths behind, before headed in the dying strides on a return visit by Kinks, who is 3lb worse off. Hero Hero won a Chester novices' race by eight lengths and was by no means disgraced in the Britannia Stakes here next time.
